MINSK, 21 September (BelTA) - The famous anatomical exhibition “Mysteries of the Human Body. The Universe Within” (the USA) will open in Minsk on 3 October, BelTA learned from the organizers of the event.

The unique exhibition features around 200 items. Human bodies and organs are presented almost in their original state thanks to the method of polymer plastination. The structure of even the finest body tissues can be preserved by substituting all the body fluids with silicone. Thanks to this method the visitors to the exhibition can see the things that only medical workers and scientists usually know.

The exhibition was created in the USA seven years ago. Over these years it has been presented in dozens of countries. Some 30 million of people have already seen it. First of all, this is an educational exhibition, as is expected to show people how complex yet perfect the human body is. It also emphasizes the importance of a healthy lifestyle. It is just impossible not to think about it when you see blackened lungs of cigarette smokers.

It has been designed to fit the interests of different people: from school children to adults and senior citizens. Apart from the exhibit items, it features information stands about the history of anatomy and the mechanism of functioning of human body systems. The exhibition will be open at the Minsk Arena velodrome every day till December.
