First Chinese tourists come to Belarus under Tsentrkurort programMINSK, 24 September (BelTA) – The first group of tourists from China have come to Belarus on a six-day tour under the program of the Tsentrkurort company and the tourist subdivision of the China International Travel Service. The Chinese tourists arrived in Minsk National Airport on 24 September, BelTA has learned.

The program of the tour scheduled for 24-30 September includes excursions around Minsk and Brest, the Stalin Line, the World of Bees farm and the Dudutki museum, the castles in Mir and Nesvizh, the Belovezhskaya Pushcha, and the Brest Fortress.

The group is comprised of 15 tourists aged 60-80. “These people have decided to visit Belarus at their own cost and expense,” the Tsentrkurort company said and expressed hope that the number of Chinese tourists visiting Belarus as part of the company’s partnership with the tourist subdivision of the China International Travel Service will reach 10,000 people in the future.

First Chinese tourists come to Belarus under Tsentrkurort programThe program “10,000 Chinese tourists in Belarus” was discussed during the visit of the Belarusian delegation headed by First Deputy Prime Minister Vasily Matyushevsky to Hong Kong on 16-18 January 2017.

Chinese specialists value Belarus’ rich tourism resources, necessary for the development of different sectors of the tourism industry. The agreement between Tsentrkurort and the tourism subdivision of the Chinese corporation was signed in August 2017. A number of excursion tours have been developed jointly with Chinese partners. They are a six-day tour to Belarus, an eight-day tour to Belarus and Poland, a ten-day tour to Russia and Belarus.

Since 2016 Tsentrkurort has been cooperating with the China National Tourist Office, China’s biggest state tourist operator. The corporation has eight regional companies, over 150 subsidiaries and 500 offices in China’s big cities, and also 21 foreign subsidiaries in 16 countries. The company employs about 45,000 people.
