MINSK, 22 August (BelTA) – The corporate film Continental Race of the BelAZ 70 film project has been shortlisted for the final of the annual Cannes Corporate Media & TV Awards, BelTA learned from the website of the Belarusian automobile engineering company OAO BelAZ.
The film about Belarusian haulers is taking part in two nominations: Corporate Image Films and Internal Communication. The film was shot by Novosibirsk’s LBL-Production to mark 70 years of the plant.
According to the main idea, the film demonstrates the power of the Belarusian trucks that operate well in different climatic conditions. “It was decided to organize a so-called competition of haulers in Kuzbass, where temperatures sometimes drop to minus 50 degrees, and the Republic of South Africa, where temperatures often go up to 50 degrees above zero. The film will show a simultaneous start in Russia's Kemerovo and South Africa's Cape Town. The film will feature loading, unloading, and a confident run of the 220MT hauler along technological roads, as well as the beautiful scenery from the truck window,” the company said.
Continental Race will premiere on 28-29 September during the BelAZ 70th anniversary celebrations. The final of the international festival in Cannes is due on 27 September. The Cannes Corporate Media & TV Awards is one of the top festivals for corporate films worldwide. The jury of the festival includes Oscar and Emmy prize winners.
