BelTA photo expo Sovereign Belarus opens in Minsk

BelTA photo expo Sovereign Belarus opens in MinskMINSK, 2 September (BelTA) – The Belarusian News Agency BelTA opened its photo exhibition, Sovereign Belarus: Era of Achievements, at the Moskva Cinema House in Minsk on 2 September, BelTA has learned.

The exhibition features 50 photos, of which 25 are black and white showing the life in the country some 25-30 years ago. The rest includes color photographs depicting the present-day Belarus.

“The human memory is unable to keep all the details unfading. Photos help recall the past events, restore the overall picture. These works allow us to assess the real scale of changes in our country. We see young people as the main audience for the project,” said BelTA Director General Dmitry Zhuk.

According to Deputy Chairperson of the Permanent Commission for Healthcare, Physical Education, Family and Youth Policy of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly Yelena Shamal, exposition makes a history in pictures for the youth that take part in the event today. For an older generation, it is a life history. “I hope this exhibition will help remember the things that are really valuable for every individual,” she said.
