Vladimir Vysotsky Exhibition

The National Library of Belarus presents a book exhibition “Vladimir Vysotsky. We Thank You!” timed to the 75th anniversary of the birthday Vladimir Vysotsky, the outstanding poet, singer, theater and cinema artist. The exhibition features books on Vladimir Vysotsky’s art and. The visitors will be able to find out interesting facts about Vladimir Vysotsky’s visits to Belarus as a singer or actor. The Belarusfilm movie studio produced seven movies featuring Vladimir Vysotsky. His tenth movie as an actor, “I Come from the Childhood”, featured his own songs for the first time…

New program by Belarusian State Circus "Visiting the Festival in Monte Carlo"

In January 2013 for the first time in history of the Belarusian Circus ballet dancers took part in the most prestigious Monte-Carlo International Circus Festival.  The festival was held under the aegis of Monaco Prince Albert and Princess Stephanie. On 15 February the Belarusian State Circus unveiled a new program titled as “Visiting the Festival in Monte Carlo” that features the world’s best award-winning circus artists.

Exhibition of Chinese national costumes

Let a Hundred Colors Bloom, an exposition in Gomel sponsored by the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Belarus, features about 30 traditional costumes of various ethnicities living in China. The visitors will be able to appreciate the richness of colors, masterful selection of fabrics and cuts and incredibly sophisticated details.

Atomexpo-Belarus 2013

The forum in Minsk features latest design, construction, maintenance and security technologies for nuclear industry from all over the world. The exhibition is held on the initiative of the Energy Ministry of Belarus with the support of the National Academy of Sciences and State Corporation Rosatom of Russia.

Andrei Tolstik’s art exhibition La Dolce Vita

Art director of the department for fiction films at the national film studio Belarusfilm Andrei Tolstik will present 40 of his paintings. Most of them were inspired by the movie Stilyagi by director Valery Todorovsky in which production Andrei Tolstik participated.

Art project Zabor

This is a unique project for Belarus. The main idea is to insert art in the familiar landscape and foster a dialogue between art and citizens. In the course of several months the Zabor project featured reproductions of paintings of modern Belarusian artists on the fence of Chelyuskintsev Park in Minsk. In April Zabor comes to Vitebsk, which is Marc Chagall’s hometown and the venue of the international arts festival Slavonic Bazaar. The art project is dedicated not only to Belarus but to Vitebsk in particular its fascinating history, interesting events and everyday life.

MSK Fashion Week in Minsk

A remarkable event in the Belarusian fashion industry will not only feature designer collections but will also become a meeting place for fashion experts. Participating in the MSK Fashion Week will be business representatives, owners of beauty salons and boutiques, people of fashion, buyers, journalists of leading professional and glossy magazines from Belarus and abroad together with analytics and fashion critics.

International ballet stars in Minsk

The International Ballet Stars Program will give ballet lovers a unique opportunity to enjoy the best compositions of the 20th and 21st centuries during one evening. The program features famous ballet dancers from the United States, the UK, Germany, Cuba, Portugal and Spain. Soloists from the world’s famous theaters including the New York City Ballet, the Royal Ballet from London, the English National Theater, the Bavarian State Ballet, the Cuban National Ballet, the Portuguese National Ballet and the National Ballet of Madrid will perform in Minsk. The program combines the most difficult parts from the classic repertoire (Don Quixote, Corsair and Swan Lake) with unique modern numbers created by famous choreographers exclusively for the show. Art director of the project is Tobias Ehinger, who is the author of about 20 gala concerts in Europe, the U.S. and Hong Kong.

International rock and bike festival

The annual festival in Grodno brings together about 1,000 representatives of bike clubs and musicians from different countries. The program of the festival features concerts of famous rock groups and a traditional motorbike parade in Grodno.

26th international festival of old and modern chamber music

A festival in Belarus’ oldest town Polotsk will bring together outstanding performers from Belarus, Russia, Lithuania, Estonia, France, Israel, Argentina and Cuba. During a month and a half amazing music will be performed in the hall of St. Sophia Cathedral. In April the guests of the festival will be People’s Artist Vladimiras Prudnikovas of Lithuania, famous Estonian conductor Erki Pehk, one of Russia’s best chamber collectives the Mikhail Glinka State String Quartet, unique musician and multi-instrumentalist  Yuri Medianik, outstanding Belarusian pianist Yuri Gildyuk, Russian violinist Stepan Yakovich and France’s organist Pierre Zhivo.

Anniversary show of Alla Dukhova's ballet TODES

Coco Chanel’s Mystery by fashion historian Alexander Vasilyev

World’s famous fashion historian, theatrical artist, fine art expert, collector and host of the Modny Prigovor TV talk show Alexander Vasilyev will present his own one-man show dedicated to Coco Chanel. This is an original story about Gabrielle Bonheur Chanel, the trendsetter in classic fashion and romantic style and owner of the Coco Chanel brand. Alexander Vasilyev wants to demystify Coco Chanel’s life. He calls her a unique businesswoman who used in her business everything that she could recollect from the past and everything she saw during her lifetime.

Lord of the Dance in Minsk

One of the greatest dance projects of the present time, the grandiose Celtic show known all over the world, will be presented in Minsk. Its creator is famous choreographer Michael Flatley, who set a Guinness Book tap-dancing world record and has elaborated his own style featuring the elements of the Irish and American step and flamenco. Lord of the Dance is an amazing dance interpretation of one of the most famous Irish legends about the fighting between the powers of darkness and light. It combines traditions, modernity, medieval mystery, magnificent stage scenery and eye-catching special effects.

Boris Eifman’s Karamazov Brothers Ballet in Minsk

The Karamazov Brothers production will be presented by famous Boris Eifman’s Ballet Theater on stage of the National Academic Bolshoi Opera and Ballet Theater of Belarus. This performance is a new interpretation of Fyodor Dostoyevsky’s magnum opus. Boris Eifman, who is the author of many stage plays, defines his genre as the psychological ballet. Using the language of dance artists talk with the audience about the most complicated and exciting matters concerning human existence. What is the purpose of life? Is the spiritual more important than the material? How to find the truth?

5th International marketing and advertising festival Bely Kvadrat

The international forum is the major Belarusian marketing and advertising event, which sets the trends in these area for the forthcoming year. The Bely Kvadrat festival brings together over 500 top managers, business owners, creative and art directors and marketing and development managers from 20 countries.

Contemporary art and avant-garde fashion festival Mamont 2013

The highlight of the festival is the avant-garde fashion contest that will be presented as a colorful show. Exhibitions of avant-garde art and sculpture, concerts and presentations will be held as part of the forum, too. The major venue of the Mamont festival will the Belarusian State Academic Music Theater, which means that the theatrical music and light will open new opportunities for the presentation of unusual collections.

Fashion Week Fall-Winter 2013/2014 in Belarus

The April Belarus Fashion Week (BFW) program will be held at the two venues. The first will be the major BFW podium where the individual fashion shows of the Belarusian and foreign designers will take place, while the second one will feature the OFF SCHEDULE program created especially for young designers and aims to present new brands. Apart from fashion shows, the BFW will feature the New Names contest for young designers and a creative competition for bloggers and fashion journalists Fashion Blog Competition. Besides, Fashion Study Center will operate as part of the event.

Telecommunications, information and banking technologies expo TIBO 2013

TIBO, a major forum in Belarus, the Baltic states and the CIS countries, has been held since 1994. The forum, which is called the mirror of telecommunications and information technologies market, brings together over 30,000 experts. Some cutting-edge technical and program products and the trends in the development of all information sectors are presented here. A traditional TIBO Internet Award in various nominations will be presented, too. The event will also feature IT innovation projects contest Belarus Startup-2013, Belarus Cyber Games-2013, the NaimIT job fair for IT companies, the second Belarus-Azerbaijan business forum on information and communications technologies and theme science-to-practice conferences.

Mass Media in Belarus

The 17th international media forum featuring the Belarusian and other countries’ media will be held at the Football Indoor Center, and will be co-located with TIBO 2013. The co-location of the two events that focus on media and informational technologies has become a tradition and attracts even more guests. Participating in the Mass Media in Belarus expo will be newspapers, magazines, radio stations, TV channels, information agencies and news websites. An official awards ceremony of the 9th Golden Letter National Printed Press Competition will be held as part of the event.

15th Guitar Renaissance International Instrumental Music Festival

Musicians, guitar bands and orchestras from different countries will take part in the music competition. Apart from the competition itself the program of the festival includes lectures, master classes with leading singers and pedagogues. Books about guitars and music will be exhibited as part of the festival together with musical instruments and accessories.
