MINSK, 12 July (BelTA) – All the three Belarusian MAZ race trucks finished the fifth leg of the Silk Way Rally in top ten, BelTA learned from the team.
Sergei Vyazovich posted the best time of 4h48m among the Belarusians finishing the stage in fourth position, 16 minutes off the stage winner, Russian Kamaz racer Dmitry Sotnikov.
Aleksei Vishnevsky came in sixth. He clocked a time of 5h2m, and now seats in 11th place overall.
Alexander Vasilevsky was 7th fastest with a time of 5h5m, and moved up to 7th position overall.
This year’s Silk Way Rally is running through Russia, Kazakhstan and China to wrap up at Xi'an on 22 July. The racers will travel a total of 9,599km, with special sections making up 4,094km.
