The most dynamic and eventful stage of the presidential election, the election campaigning of the candidates for the post of the President, started in Belarus on 11 September.

After the official registration, candidates for the Belarus presidency and their authorized representatives focused on the work with the electorate. Every candidate will choose the most appropriate forms of election campaigning which include picketing and meetings with workers, opening of counseling offices, press conferences and interviews, speaking on television and radio, activities in social networks. Official programs where the participants of the presidential race voiced their fundamental political principles and strategies of Belarus’ development have been published by the leading Belarusian mass media.

After the first five days of the election campaigning Chairwoman of the Central Election Commission (CEC) of Belarus Lidia Yermoshina encouraged presidential candidates to put more effort in campaigning: "Then voters will notice that pre-election campaigning is in progress in Belarus."

The presidential election campaign is gaining momentum every day. TV debates of the candidates will take place on 3 October. Three candidates, namely Tatiana Korotkevich, Sergei Gaidukevich and Nikolai Ulakhovich have sent applications fort the participation in the televised debates.
