Early voting for Belarus parliamentary elections

Early voting to choose members of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the seventh convocation commenced in Belarus on 12 November.

In line with the election plan, early voting will run through 16 November. Belarusians will be able to cast their votes from 10:00 till 14:00 and from 16:00 till 19:00.

Some 5,831 polling stations were set up in Belarus. Early voting will not be administered at polling stations set up at sanatoriums, health resorts, hospitals and other healthcare institutions.

Early voting is meant for voters who will not be able to cast their ballot on election day. Voters will not have to present evidence confirming their inability to show up at a polling station on election day.

According to the Central Election Commission, nearly 6.9 million Belarusians living in Belarus and abroad are eligible to cast their votes at Belarus’ parliamentary elections.

The elections to the House of Representatives are scheduled for 17 November.
