Humanitarian project: Happy Island
Project name: Happy Island

Implementation period: 2019-2020

Applicant: Education, Sport and Tourism Department of the Staryye Dorogi District Executive Committee

Project objectives: Creating opportunities and ensuring access to leisure and recreation services for children and teenagers through facility development (club) on the premises of the Rodnichok health camp.

Project goals:

1. To create opportunities for leisure and cultural activities.

2. To improve children’s creative and intellectual ability.

3. To motivate and enhance children's cognitive growth through cultural and leisure activities.

Target group: Children aged 6-15 years spending time in the Rodnichok summer camp.

Brief description:  Creation of playgrounds (Skillful Hands, Chessboard, Checker Corner), repair (replacement of flooring, wall cladding and stage arrangement) of the club that can seat 120 people.

Total amount of financing (USD): 42,000
