Project name: From Sympathy to Empowerment

Implementation period: 24 months

Applicant: Lida District Center of Social Services

Project objectives: to develop new communication abilities in people with disabilities, skills for independent living, social and labor integration.

Project goals:

- to reconstruct the building taking into account the needs of people with disabilities;

- to equip social rehabilitation rooms, a computer class, sewing, woodworking, and souvenir workshops;

- to arrange independent round-the-clock 10-day accommodation for people with disabilities in a specially equipped room;

- to extend daycare to 8 hours a day;

- to organize daily semi-stationary care for people with disabilities (up to 70 people);

- to teach working skills in people with disabilities for their further professional self-realization;

- to host public events with the maximum involvement of people with disabilities (as least 100 people).

Target group: 70 people with disabilities aged 18 to 31

To reconstruct the building, equip special rehabilitation rooms, provide social, cultural and labor rehabilitation services
