Art project "Folklore is the Soul of the Nation"

Project name: Art project "Folklore is the Soul of the Nation" (setting up a folklore section in the Matyrinski village community center).

Implementation period: a long-term project

Applicant: State Cultural Institution "Ushachi District Center of Culture and Folk Art"

Project objectives:
To preserve and popularize Belarusian national culture, traditions and heritage;
To produce local folklore audio and video materials: songs, dances, rites;
To promote spiritual upbringing of the population through national songs, dances and rites;
To develop moral values and creative potential of an individual;
To bring national traditions and folklore closer to the population;
To improve professional and stage performance skills of folk bands.

Project goals:
To arrange trips of folk bands to participate in various local, regional and nationwide events;
To develop guidelines on folklore (scripts, research works, audio and video materials);
To buy stage outfits for folk bands;
To buy percussion instruments (tambourines, bells, boxes ("klyakotki"), "klyashchotki", etc.);
To promote cooperation with mass media to popularize local folklore.
 
Target group: citizens and guests of Ushachi District

Short description of activities:
To organize performances of folk bands in local, regional and nationwide events;
To organize excursions to the folk section and also performances of folk bands;
To draw up guidelines on folklore (scripts, research works);
To make photo albums, booklets, brochures and theme catalogs on folk bands;
To produce audio and video recordings;
To promote cooperation with mass media to popularize local folklore.
