ZHITOMIR, 4 October (BelTA) – Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky thanked Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko and Minsk for hosting talks on the regulation of the conflict in southeastern Ukraine. He made the statement during the boarder negotiations with the Belarusian head of state that involved top officials from both sides in Zhitomir on 4 October, BelTA informs.
Volodymyr Zelensky expressed confidence that the relations between the two countries will be improving in the future. He also thanked for Belarus’ role in the regulation of the conflict, for the organization of the talks in Minsk. “I want to thank for everything that Belarus is doing for Ukraine, for the talks venue in Minsk,” the Ukrainian leader said.
He also thanked Belarus for the support of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.
