MINSK, 28 August (BelTA) – The Embassy of the United States of America in Belarus is considering ways to improve visa application procedures for Belarusians, the embassy’s press service told BelTA.
According to the source, the U.S. embassy is considering ways to improve the visa application process for Belarus citizens in the future.
BelTA reported earlier that in August 2017 the U.S. embassy in Moscow and the general consulate of the USA in Saint Petersburg stopped taking visa applications from Belarusians. Interviews for the Belarusians, who had already applied for non-immigration U.S. visas and had paid the consular fee, were supposed to be rescheduled. Belarusian citizens were advised to contact the embassies in Warsaw, Kiev, and Vilnius to apply for non-immigration visas.
At present the U.S. embassy in Minsk accepts applications only for diplomatic visas, visas for students, work visas for performers, sportsmen, and artists, and some other categories.
