MINSK, 15 December (BelTA) – A joint foreign policy program may be approved at the Supreme State Council of the Union State, State Secretary of the Union State Grigory Rapota told reporters before the joint session of the boards of the Belarusian Education Ministry, the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia, and the State Science and Technology Committee of Belarus on 15 December, BelTA has learned.

According to the state secretary, the exact date of the session of the Supreme State Council of the Union State is not known yet. But all the preparations have been done already. “The agenda has been worked out. The major issues include budget policy, foreign policy. There are plans to approve a joint foreign policy action plan,” he noted.

Apart from that, the forthcoming meeting will focus on the priorities of the Union State development till 2017. “We have prepared this document upon the instruction of the Supreme State Council. And now we will submit a finished document approved by the Council of Ministers to the presidents of the two countries,” Grigory Rapota said.
