MINSK, 13 December (BelTA) – The Union State sci-tech council will start working in 2018, State Secretary of the Union State Grigory Rapota told the media on the sidelines of the Second Congress of Scientists of Belarus on 13 December, BelTA has learned.
“Research and technology priorities and Union State programs should be chosen by the scientific community. That is why we have decided to set up a sci-tech council. There are a lot of proposals and all of them must be considered carefully,” said Grigory Rapota.
In his words, the sci-tech council will start working in 2018. It will comprise representatives of the academies of sciences and the industry ministries.
