Union State MPs to visit Slavonic Bazaar in Vitebsk
MOSCOW, 8 July (BelTA) – A delegation of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Belarus-Russia Union State led by Deputy Chairman of the Russian Federation Council Alexander Torshin will take part in the 23rd
International Festival of Arts Slavonic Bazaar in Vitebsk on 10 -14 July, BelTA learned from the press service of the Parliamentary Assembly.MPs will attend the opening and closing ceremonies of the festival, concerts and a junior contest. On 11 July, the traditional Day of the Union State, MPs and representatives of the Permanent Committee of the Union State, veterans of the Great Patriotic War will lay wreaths at the Eternal Flame in Vitebsk.
Members of the
Parliamentary Assembly will present special prizes to Belarus and Russia’s entries of the international song contest and the best singers of the international junior song contest.The Day of the Union State was for the first time held at Slavonic Bazaar in Vitebsk in 2003. Union State MPs regularly participate in the festival as organizers and guests. The permanent program of the festival includes events organized and held by the representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly and the Permanent Committee of the Union State.
