MINSK, 16 September (BelTA) – The next round of talks on visa liberalization between the European Union and Belarus may take place in September 2014, Head of the EU Delegation to Belarus Ambassador Maira Mora told media on 16 September, BelTA has learned.

Maira Mora did not specify the date for the consultations on two agreements: visa liberalization between the EU and Belarus and readmission. “We have agreed on September and it will be the second round of talks,” she said.

The EU representative also stressed that at the previous round of talks the parties discussed all clauses of the agreements and outlined issues that should be addressed. Simplification of the visa regime for holders of diplomatic passports was one of them.

Deputy Foreign Minister of Belarus Yelena Kupchina told media that “the ball in the issue in the European court.”
