MINSK, 20 August (BelTA) – Prime Minister of Belarus Roman Golovchenko and his Russian counterpart Mikhail Mishustin held a telephone conversation to discuss the further steps to remove restrictions on crossing the Belarus-Russia border, BelTA learned from the press service of the government.
“Roman Golovchenko updated the Russian head of government on the ongoing developments in Belarus and on measures to frustrate attempts to destabilize the situation in the country. He noted that all the economic sectors, the manufacturing complex are operating normally,” the press service informed.
The prime ministers of Belarus and Russia reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening trade and economic ties across the entire spectrum. “The parties discussed topical cooperation issues and took the necessary decisions. They agreed that the respective government agencies of the two countries should join efforts to remove the restrictions on crossing the Belarus-Russia border,” the Belarusian government informed.
In conclusion, the premiers emphasized their determination to resolve all the issues related to the Union State as fast as possible. They also gave instructions to the respective authorities to fulfill what the premiers agreed on.
