MINSK, 10 October (BelTA) – Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko held telephone talks with his Ukrainian counterpart Petro Poroshenko on 9 October, BelTA learnt from the presidential press service.
The heads of state discussed the agenda of the forthcoming CIS summit in Minsk.
The Ukrainian President apologized for not being able to attend the CIS Heads of State Council meeting and asked the President of Belarus as the CIS Chairman to get Ukraine’s point across to the summiteers.
The Ukrainian Ambassador to Belarus will represent Ukraine's interests at the summit.
