MINSK, 12 November (BelTA) – About 10 documents will be signed during the visit of Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev to Minsk which is expected to take place in a week, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Azerbaijan to Belarus Latif Gandilov told the media after the meeting with Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko in Minsk on 12 November, BelTA has learned.
Plans are in place to sign the documents on cooperation in politics, economy and humanitarian sector. “Relations do not stand still. The legal framework should be developed further,” the Ambassador said. According to him, Azerbaijan is currently implementing a lot of investment construction projects in Belarus.
The Ambassador believes that it is important that the visit of Ilham Aliyev will be held in the year when the two countries mark the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations.
During the meeting with Alexander Lukashenko the diplomat stressed: “Azerbaijani people have a warm regard for you. Your personal relationship with Ilham Aliyev is a good example of interstate relations”.
