MINSK, 18 May (BelTA) – Plans have been made to appoint an honorary consul of Belarus in Saudi Arabia, BelTA has learned. The plans were discussed during the meeting of Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makei and Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia Youssuf bin Tarrad Al Sa'doun on 18 May.
According to the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, during the meeting the sides discussed how the exchange of visits of Belarusian and Saudi Arabian businessmen should be organized. The organization of trade fairs was also mentioned. Prospects of appointing an honorary consul of Belarus in Saudi Arabia were discussed.
The diplomats talked over results of the second session of the Belarusian-Saudi Arabian joint intergovernmental committee that took place on 18 May. Topical matters and prospects of advancing bilateral cooperation in trade, agriculture, forestry industry, science and technologies, education, pharmaceutics, tourism, and other areas were also touched upon.
