Namibian Deputy Prime Minister to visit Belarus 20-25 October

MINSK, 20 October (BelTA) - Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of International Relations and Cooperation of Namibia, will travel to Belarus on an official visit on 20-25 October, spokesman for the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dmitry Mironchik told reporters on 20 October, BelTA has learned.

The Namibian delegation will also include representatives of several departments and organizations. Ms Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah is scheduled to meet with Belarus’ Minister for Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makei. “The parties are preparing to sign a memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus and the Ministry of International Relations and Cooperation of Namibia on political consultations,” Dmitry Mironchik said.

In addition, the Namibian delegation is set to hold negotiations in the Council of Ministers of Belarus, to meet with senior officials of the Belarusian ministries and organizations. The Namibian delegation will visit and Belarusian Potash Company. It is expected that following the visit the parties will agree upon the main areas of trade and economic cooperation between Belarus and Namibia, including in the matters of deliveries of Belarusian equipment for the needs of the mining and agriculture industries of Namibia.
