MOSCOW, 21 May (BelTA) – Belarus’ Prime Minister Mikhail Myasnikovich met with his Russian counterpart Dmitry Medvedev in Moscow on 21 May, BelTA learned.
Belarus sees the cooperation with Russia as dynamically developing, Mikhail Myasnikovich said. “But life never stands still, and we need new approaches. I think today we will discuss them. This primarily concerns joint projects, new areas, including in high technology. We will also examine the current issues which were worked out by our ministers and experts and require approval from the heads of government,” Belarusian Premier said.
Dmitry Medvedev noted that last year was very positive for the Belarusian-Russian relations. “We had the highest trade in the history of our relations - about $45 billion,” he said. According to Dmitry Medvedev, this year the situation is slightly more complicated but the two countries can ramp up the pace of cooperation and maintain the positive momentum of the recent years.
The heads of government discussed all aspects of the Russian-Belarusian socio-economic cooperation, interaction within the framework of the Union State, and joint integration projects.
