MINSK, 27 February (BelTA) – Parliamentary delegations of Indonesia, Vietnam and India plan to visit Belarus in the near future, Chairman of the House of Representatives said in an interview to Belarus 1 TV channel.
The parliamentary delegation of Belarus paid an official visit to the Kingdom of Cambodia on 10-13 February. Vladimir Andreichenko stressed that cooperation with South-East Asia is highly promising and of great economic interest for the country.
“The ASEAN member states is a huge rapidly developing market. It is home to over 600 million people. The Gross Domestic Product this region generates reaches $2.1 trillion, with foreign trade turnover exceeding $2 trillion. For Belarus it is important to build up exports of goods and services to this region and raise investment in the economy,” Vladimir Andreichenko said.
While in Cambodia, the parties signed a number of agreements, including between the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus and the National Assembly of the Parliament of the Kingdom of Cambodia, agreements in education and joint assembling of Belarusian tractors. An official opening ceremony of a showroom of Belarusian tractor vehicles took place in Phnom Penh. The sides discussed cooperation at the interregional level and in the tourist sector.
