MINSK, 1 September (BelTA) – The three-party contact group (Ukraine-OSCE-Russia) set up to resolve the crisis in Ukraine will meet in Minsk on 1 September. The corresponding invitation for mass media has been issued by the Foreign Ministry of Belarus, BelTA has learned.
The ministry has not provided any information yet on who is going to represent the parties at the talks.
As was reported, on 31 July Minsk played host to the three-party talks of the contact group (Ukraine-OSCE-Russia) to resolve the situation in the east of Ukraine with representatives of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic. The contact group included the former President of Ukraine Leonid Kuchma, Russia's Ambassador to Ukraine Mikhail Zurabov and representative of the current OSCE President in Ukraine Heidi Tagliavini.
