MINSK, 23 October (BelTA) – The Belarusian-French ministerial consultations will take place in Minsk on 30 October, spokesman for the Belarusian Foreign Ministry Dmitry Mironchik told reporters on 23 October, BelTA has learned.
The French delegation will be led by Director of the Department for Continental Europe of the French Foreign Ministry Eric Fournier. The French delegation will meet with Deputy Foreign Minister of Belarus Yelena Kupchina. “The parties are expected to discuss a wide range of issues related to the Belarusian-French bilateral cooperation, Minsk-Brussels relations, and regional security,” Dmitry Mironchik said.
The French delegation is due to hold a number of meetings in various government bodies of Belarus.
On 16-17 October the Belarusian delegation led by Deputy Foreign Minister Yelena Kupchina paid a visit to France. She met with Eric Fournier and Political Director at the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs Nicolas de Riviere. The parties discussed the issues related to the relations between Belarus and the EU, the events in Ukraine, prospects for cooperation between the Eurasian Economic Union and the European Union.
