MINSK, 3 March (BelTA) – Belarus’ Foreign Minister Vladimir Makei is set to meet with Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China Cheng Guoping, BelTA learnt from the press service of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry.
The meeting will be hosted by the Belarusian Foreign Ministry. The parties are to discuss Belarus-China cooperation, including implementation of joint projects and the topical issues of the international agenda.
The Republic of Belarus and the People's Republic of China established diplomatic relations on 20 January 1992. The same year the Chinese Embassy opened in Minsk. In 1993 Belarusian diplomats were sent to Beijing. Cooperation with China is among the priorities of Belarus’ foreign policy. The two countries regularly exchange visits on the high and highest levels, maintain a robust interparliamentary dialogue and promote inter-agency contacts.
