MINSK, 11 March (BelTA) - President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko has sent greetings to the participants of the international scientific and practical conference “Eurasianism: from Dialogue to Interaction”, BelTA learnt from the presidential press service.
The head of state stressed that the forum plays a very big role in modern conditions. “In the past decades integration processes in various regions of the planet became increasingly vibrant. It is very difficult even for developed states to survive in the rapidly changing world. It means that interaction between countries is very important. First of all, this pertains to the post-Soviet space where young independent states overcome disintegration trends and create new forms and structures of cooperation,” the message of greetings reads.
Alexander Lukashenko remarked that Belarus, Kazakhstan and Russia managed to advance integration thanks to their joint efforts. Close partnership in the Customs Union became a foundation for the transition from trilateral cooperation to a brand-new dimension – the formation of the Eurasian Economic Union which will help use the potential of the Eurasian region to the full. “Our main objectives are to create conditions for the free movement of goods, services, capital and workforce and to eventually raise the wellbeing of people of the three countries,” the Belarusian President stressed.
The head of state expressed hope that the conference will become an additional constructive element in the discussion of the Eurasian integration prospects.
