MINSK, 28 May (BelTA) – President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko has sent greetings to Petro Poroshenko who was elected President of Ukraine, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian head of state.

“Centuries-old traditions of friendship and mutual support, historical unity of our nations make up a solid foundation for the development of all-round and productive cooperation between our countries,” the message of greetings reads.

“Belarus has always been and will be a reliable neighbor for Ukraine. We want Ukraine to be a stable and strong state,” the Belarusian head of state remarked.

Alexander Lukashenko also wished Petro Poroshenko every success in promoting unity and wellbeing in Ukraine.
