MINSK, 6 August (BelTA) – Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko has sent a letter of birthday greetings to People’s Artist of Belarus Igor Luchenok, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

“Your versatile productive work appreciated by a wide range of listeners has become Belarus’ trademark embracing the best features of the national culture and lifting the Belarusian song tradition to the summit of professional mastery,” the message of greetings reads.

According to the president, over the years of selfless work as the chairman of the Belarusian Union of Composers Igor Luchenok has done and is doing a lot to support and develop the Belarusian school of composing.

“Your songs are famous for heartfelt melodies, depth and lyricism and are sung by many musicians of different generations,” Alexander Lukashenko said.
