Lukashenko, Putin discuss Minsk summits, Russia’s tax maneuver

MINSK, 7 October (BelTA) –Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko and Russian President Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation, BelTA learned from the presidential press service.

Alexander Lukashenko invited Vladimir Putin to take part in the sessions of the CIS Heads of State Council and the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council at the level of the heads of state which will be held in Minsk. The presidents discussed the agenda of the summits, including the expansion of the Eurasian Economic Union due to the accession of Armenia.

The sides discussed Belarus-Russia trade and economic relations, the influence of the Russian tax maneuver on the formation of the Belarusian budget.

Alexander Lukashenko also wished happy birthday to Vladimir Putin.
