MINSK, 26 November (BelTA) – Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has plans to visit Vietnam in 2015. He made this statement as he met with Secretary General of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam Nguyen Phu Trong on 26 November, BelTA has learned.
“I will certainly come to Vietnam in the future,” the Belarusian head of state said. He suggested discussing the preparation of large-scale bilateral agreements during today’s meeting.
Welcoming the Vietnamese delegation, Alexander Lukashenko said that Belarus has very friendly relations with Vietnam. “We remember very well our joint fight for Vietnam’s independence,” the head of state said. In his words, Belarus is ready to do everything it can to help resolve the issues that might face Vietnam today. The President noted that the Belarusian people “treat our Vietnamese friends with utmost respect and tact”.
