MOSCOW, 4 December (BelTA) – Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko tops the CIS leaders' approval rating in Russia. The results of the opinion poll conducted by the Russian Public Opinion Research Center (VtsIOM) were presented in a press conference in Moscow on 4 December, BelTA has learned.
Alexander Lukashenko's approval rating is 65%. Nursultan Nazarbayev is second with the 49% approval rating among Russians.
They are followed by the leaders of Azerbaijan (14%), Armenia (8%) and Moldova (7%). The leaders of Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Ukraine and Georgia polled less than 4%.
VtsIOM carried out the opinion poll by telephone on 8 November. The survey involved 1,600 people. The margin of error does not exceed 3.5%.
