Lukashenko extends National Day greetings to Switzerland

MINSK, 3 August (BelTA) - Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko has extended greetings to President of the Swiss Confederation Simonetta Sommaruga as the country celebrates National Day, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

The head of state stressed that the relations between the countries have recently become more active and have reached a higher level of quality. “We have increased the level of diplomatic representation, and are consistently expanding inter-parliamentary interaction. Cooperation between relevant ministries and organizations has been strengthening. It is worth noting the steady growth of interest of Swiss business in the implementation of joint projects in Belarus with an emphasis on mechanical engineering, pharmaceuticals and services in innovative technologies,” the message of greetings runs.

The president expressed confidence that support of these positive processes, including the establishment of contacts at the highest level, fully meets the national interests.

Aleksandr Lukashenko wished Simonetta Sommaruga strong health and successful political activity and also peace, concord and prompt recovery from temporary difficulties to the people of Switzerland.
