MINSK, 5 September (BelTA) – Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has congratulated Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk on his election as European Council President, BelTA learnt from the presidential press service.

“I congratulate You sincerely on the election to the post of the European Council President, which proves the highest score of Your political and professional strength and underlines Poland’s strategic role in the European Union,” Alexander Lukashenko noted.

The Belarusian head of state expressed confidence that mutually beneficial cooperation between Belarus and Poland would continue expanding and strengthening for the benefit of the two countries.
