MINSK, 21 January (BelTA) – It is necessary to step up cooperation with Tunisia, Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko said as he talked to the ambassadors after the credentials ceremony on 21 January, BelTA has learned.
Talking to Ambassador of Tunisia Mohamed Ali Chihi, the Belarusian head of state emphasized that Tunisia is located not so far from Belarus, while bilateral contacts are slack. “We have not been able to establish cooperation with this country. It is our fault and we need to rectify the situation,” the president is convinced.
On 21 January Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko received credentials of foreign ambassadors of ten countries. The official ceremony took place in the Palace of Independence.
