Kupchina meets with Finland President Adviser

MINSK, 16 June (BelTA) – A wide range of issues was discussed at a meeting of Deputy Foreign Minister of Belarus Yelena Kupchina with Foreign Policy Adviser to the President of the Republic of Finland Mikko Hautala and Chair of the International Affairs Commission of the Parliament of Finland Timo Soini in Finland on 13 June, BelTA learnt from the press service of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry.

The parties discussed the current progress and prospects for development of bilateral relations between Belarus and Finland, relations with the neighboring countries and European Union, including the Eastern Partnership initiative and inter-parliamentary cooperation.

Yelena Kupchina also held talks with Secretary of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Peter Stenlund. The parties held ministerial consultations.

The participants of the talks considered the current political, trade, economic, humanitarian and other agendas. The parties confirmed the mutual interest of the two countries in expanding trade contacts, implementation of joint projects, including the advancement to the common market of the Single Economic Space of Belarus, Russia and Kazakhstan.
