MINSK, 15 October (BelTA) - Belarus and Latvia believe their bilateral cooperation has great development prospects, Belarus Prime Minister Mikhail Myasnikovich said during his meeting with Latvian businessmen and politicians on 16 October, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian government.
The parties discussed a number of matters of mutual interest. They agreed that the bilateral ties between Belarus and Latvia in trade, economy, investments, and logistics have great development prospects.
“The Belarus-Latvia cooperation on all current issues on the bilateral and multilateral agendas is expected to rapidly develop in the light of Latvia's presidency in the EU in 2015,” the Belarusian government noted.
Partaking in the meeting were Economic Affairs Adviser to the President of Latvia Aivis Ronis, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Latvia to Belarus Mikhail Popkovs, and Andris Skele, the owner of the company Business Management and Consulting, the former Latvian Prime Minister (1995-1997, 1999-2000).
