Ghana viewed as one of anchor points for Belarus in Africa

MINSK, 21 January (BelTA) - Ghana can become one of the anchor points for Belarus’ cooperation with African states, Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko said as he talked to the ambassadors after the credentials ceremony, BelTA has learned.

The head of state underlined that Belarus is seriously exploring the cooperation opportunities with Ghana. “I am sure it will be one of the anchor points in Africa, with which we will begin more active cooperation as well as with other countries,” the president said as he addressed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Ghana to Belarus Dr Lesley Akyaa Opoku Ware.

On 21 January Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko received credentials of foreign ambassadors of ten countries. The official ceremony took place in the Palace of Independence.
