MINSK, 23 May (BelTA) – A delegation of German businessmen will visit Belarus in late May, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Germany to Belarus Peter Dettmar told the media on 23 May, BelTA has learned.

Speaking about the bilateral German-Belarusian cooperation, Peter Dettmar noted that any relations can have experience progress and recession. However, the past two years have seen many positive moments in the mutual relations of the two countries. The diplomat stressed that over the time a number of important contacts have taken place in the political and economic sectors. “At the end of the month we expect to welcome a big delegation of German businessmen. I believe that there is mutual interest in strengthening the framework for economic relations,” the Ambassador said.

Peter Dettmar also expressed the opinion that Belarus and Germany have excellent relations in culture, which remain the basis for the development of cooperation in other areas.

The diplomat is attending the first German-Belarusian Forum “Fourth Industrial Revolution (Industry 4.0): Digital Transformation”. The goal of the forum is to present Germany’s track record and individual German companies in implementing Industry 4.0 and digital transformation projects.
