German-Belarusian parliamentary group in Bundestag to visit Belarus in early October

MINSK, 3 October (BelTA) – The German-Belarusian parliamentary group in the Bundestag will visit Belarus in early October, Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus Vladimir Andreichenko said at the opening of the 10th session of the fifth-convocation parliament on 3 October, BelTA has learned.

According to the speaker, the relations of the Belarusian side with western colleagues have significantly improved in recent time. Vladimir Andreichenko reminded that the decision to hold the 26th session of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly in Minsk in the summer of 2017 was made in July. “The bilateral dialogue of the groups of friendship with the MPs of Vietnam, France, and Japan is increasingly vibrant. In August, the House of Representatives hosted a substantial meeting with the Vice Marshal of the Sejm of Poland which helped advance our interparliamentary cooperation to a brand-new level,” the chairman of the House of Representatives said.

He also added that at the beginning of October the German-Belarusian parliamentary group in the Bundestag will visit Belarus. “In fact, we have done a lot, the comprehensive character of the international program of the House of Representatives will be intensifying,” Vladimir Andreichenko said speaking about the future work of the new parliament.

The chairman of the House of Representatives said that the parliamentary elections in the country were calm and well-organized, they took place in full compliance with the national legislation. “It once again demonstrated a high level of political culture in the Belarusian society, the unity of the nation, and people’s support of the state policy,” the speaker concluded.
