MINSK, 2 June (BelTA) – The finance ministries of Belarus and Slovakia will sign a memorandum of understanding (MoU), Deputy Foreign Minister of Belarus Alexander Gurianov said as he met with First State Secretary of the Ministry of Economy of the Slovak Republic Pavol Pavlis and members of the Slovak delegation on 2 June, BelTA has learnt.

Alexander Gurianov expressed hope that the parties will be able to discuss all the matters of the mutual interest. He informed that a document of cooperation will be signed by the agriculture ministries during the visit of the Slovak delegation to Belarus.

Pavol Pavlis emphasized the importance of the forthcoming talks in Minsk. In his words, the Slovak side closely watched the ice hockey world championship in Minsk. He thanked Belarus for the excellent organization of the championship.

Pavol Pavlis also spoke about integration: “My congratulations on the signing of the Eurasian Economic Union Treaty. The treaty envisages a high level of integration and will become the basis for all-round development of Eurasia”. He was curious about the union and asked what Belarus expects from it.
