Eight agreements signed at Belarus Days in Siberia

NOVOSIBIRSK, 22 October (BelTA) - Eight documents on cooperation in various oblasts were signed at Belarus Days in Siberia on 22 October, BelTA has learned.

An agreement on trade, economic, sci-tech and cultural cooperation was signed between the administrations of the Altai Krai of Russia and the Belarusian Government in the presence of Presidential Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation in the Siberian Federal District Nikolai Rogozhkin and First Vice Premier of Belarus Vladimir Semashko. Agreements on cooperation were also concluded between the Novosibirsk Oblast state unitary company OTS and the Belarusian National State TV and Radio Company, the Novosibirsk and Belarusian Chambers of Commerce and Industry, the Novosibirsk Oblast Union of Consumer Societies and the Belarusian National Union of Consumer Societies.

Among the signed documents is the protocol between the Department for Information Policy under the Novosibirsk Oblast Governor’s Administration and the Novosibirsk Oblast Government and the Information Ministry of Belarus on cooperation in information policy, a memorandum of understanding and cooperation between the Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation Policy of Novosibirsk Oblast and the State Science and Technology Committee of Belarus.

Belarus Days in Siberia are underway on 19-23 October. The program is wide and comprises a number of big events. Among them is a national exhibition of the Republic of Belarus with the demonstration of products of the country’s leading companies (MTZ, MAZ, BelAZ, Amkodor, Gomselmash, Gomeldrev, Pinskdrev Holding Company, Mogilevliftmash and others) and signing of the relevant contracts, a forum of Siberian and Belarusian regions with the participation of delegations from all 12 Siberian regions and the signing of program documents on concrete cooperation mechanisms, a business matchmaking session for the business circles of Belarus and Russia. The Days also feature roundtables on bilateral cooperation, sci-tech and innovation conferences at the Siberian Office of the Russian Academy of Sciences, a concert featuring Belarusian artists.
