GOMEL, 30 October (BelTA) - The official delegation of Vinnitsa Oblast headed by chairman of the oblast council Sergei Svitko will pay a visit to Gomel Oblast on 30-31 October, BelTA learned from the press service of the Gomel Oblast Executive Committee.

The main item on the agenda of the visit will be the conclusion of a cooperation agreement with Gomel Oblast. A ceremony of signing the relevant documents with the participation of Gomel Oblast Governor Vladimir Dvornik will take place on 30 October. The Ukrainian delegation is expected to visit industrial enterprises in Gomel and Svetlogorsk, including Gomel Fat Plant, Gomel Distillery Radamir, Svetlogorsk Plant of Cardboard Packaging and Svetlogorsk Plant of Welding Electrodes.

This is the second visit of representatives of Vinnitsa Oblast to Gomel Oblast over the last four months. In June a delegation of 13 representatives were in the Belarusian region studying the experience of farmers and processors of agricultural products. During the talks with the local authorities, the parties expressed their interest in establishing cooperation in some sectors of industry and agriculture. For example, the Ukrainian side is interested in farm machines made by Gomselmash and the Belarusian region showed interest in purchasing meal of oilseed crops, a valuable protein feed for animals.
