Deinego: Minsk Agreements outline roadmap for Ukraine’s parties

MINSK, 8 February (BelTA) – The agreements that were signed in Minsk in February 2015 provided the parties to the conflict with a roadmap for the implementation of the reached agreements, representative of the self-proclaimed Lugansk People’s Republic Vladislav Deinego said in an interview to the ONT TV Channel, BelTA informs.

“The parties outlined a so-called calendar plan, a roadmap. Since some control points have been specified, there is a possibility to assess the process,” said the representative of the self-proclaimed republic.

At the same time he once again accused the Ukrainian side of nonobservance of the agreements and noted that the Minsk Agreements was the document to appeal to in disputes. Vladislav Deinego acknowledged that the parties had agreed on ceasefire many times. “If we fail to place these results on a political foundation, we will lose these results,” he said.

The agreements that went down in history as the Second Minsk Agreements or Minsk-2 were approved in the form of a declaration following the talks between the heads of Germany, Russia, Ukraine and France. They were signed by the participants of the contact group on Ukraine, which comprises representatives of the OSCE, Russia, Ukraine and separate regions of Donetsk and Lugansk Oblasts.
