MINSK, 17 November (BelTA) – The Defense Ministries of Belarus and Serbia signed a memorandum of understanding and cooperation in military science and education, BelTA learnt from the Defense Ministry of Belarus.
The document is aimed at the development of cooperation between Belarusian and Serbian military educational establishments and other educational and scientific institutions. The memorandum envisages an exchange of working experience, education and scientific materials, academic staff and students, and a joint participation in conferences, training courses and internship. The document was signed by head of the Serbian Defense Ministry Bratislav Gasic and Defense Minister of Belarus Andrei Ravkov who is currently in Serbia on an official visit.
The parties also held talks during which they confirmed the mutual interest in the further development of practical cooperation on a wide range of areas, such as military education, training for peacekeeping efforts, special operations, military medicine and other aspects of the military sector.
While in Serbia, Defense Minister Andrei Ravkov also met with Prime Minister of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic and Chairperson of the Serbian parliamentary committee on defense and interior affairs Marija Obradovic.
