MINSK, 28 March (BelTA) – A delegation of the Chinese parliament is expected to visit Belarus soon, BelTA learned from Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus Vladimir Andreichenko on 28 March.
According to Vladimir Andreichenko, Belarus looks forward to welcoming the delegation from China early next week. During the visit the sides are expected to discuss Belarus’ role as a link in the Silk Road Economic Belt.
The head of the lower chamber of the Belarusian parliament reminded that an international conference of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly‘s Silk Road Support Group will take place in Minsk in late April. Preparations for the forum are nearing completion.
Participants of the session of the Council of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly discussed the main directions of work on other international parliamentary platforms. It was mentioned that a Belarusian resolution on strategic forecasting will be considered at the summer session of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly. The document is ready. “It is very important to focus on promoting the resolution,” Vladimir Andreichenko said.
