MINSK, 26 September (BelTA) – President of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping is expected to visit Belarus in near future. The forthcoming visit of the Chinese leader was discussed at the meeting of Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko and Zhang Gaoli, First Vice Prime Minister of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China, member of the Politburo Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, on 26 September, BelTA has learned.
“I am confident that for the forthcoming visit of China President Xi Jinping to Belarus in near future the sides will fill the format of Belarusian-Chinese relations with concrete content. Comprehensive strategic partnership is the idea,” stressed the head of state. He remarked that although Belarus and China cooperate vigorously in many areas, there are still untapped reserves for developing contacts in the area of humanitarian cooperation, education, science, culture, and tourism.
Alexander Lukashenko said that Belarus intends to tightly interact with China in the international scene, too.
