MOSCOW, 18 February (BelTA) – Vitaly Busko, Chairman of the International Affairs Commission of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus, has been elected Deputy Chairman of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Belarus-Russia Union State. The voting took place in Moscow on 18 February during a session of the Parliamentary Assembly, BelTA has learned.
Vitaly Busko replaced Nikolai Samoseiko who was appointed First Deputy Executive Secretary of the Parliamentary Assembly in June 2015.
The Parliamentary Assembly also accepted the credentials of incoming MPs delegated by Russia’s State Duma and the Federation Council.
On 18 February, Union State MPs approved changes to the membership of the deputations and commissions of the Parliamentary Assembly.
The Parliamentary Assembly consists of deputations formed by both houses of the Belarusian and Russian parliaments. Each country delegates 36 MPs.
