MINSK, 28 November (BelTA) – Brasilia played host to the first meeting of the Belarusian-Brazilian joint commission on economic cooperation on 27 November. The meeting took place during the first day of the visit of the Belarusian delegation led by Deputy Prime Minister Anatoly Kalinin to Brazil, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The Belarusian part of the commission was led by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Evgeny Shestakov. Taking part in the event were representatives of Belarusian and Brazilian companies and government bodies. The commission signed the corresponding protocol. The parties expressed interest in regular meetings for further strengthening of the Belarusian-Brazilian trade and economic ties.
The commission will next meet in Minsk in 2018.
